Walking on the Pond at Ten Mile River

202-Cabin-Trip-2014Cub Pack 202 spent the weekend at the Ten Mile River Boy Scout Camp in Narrowsburg, N.Y., and had a lot of fun walking on the ice of Turnpike Pond.

202-Cabin-Trip-2014This was the Pack’s first trip back to Ten Mile River in four years, and it was a smashing success. Seventy-five Scouts and family members make the trip, and stayed in five cabins at the park.

Initially concerned about the snow that lingered after the brutal winter, we enjoyed nice, sunny weather, and spent hours on the ice — ice fishing, sledding, and generally having a good time. The Scouts hiked, played games, and toasted s’mores on the campfire. Their skits were fantastic.

Ten Mile River, we’ll be seeing you again!
